Requirements

Nextwave is seeking the most capable independent contractors. Here are our requirements.

Independence is one of the greatest advantages of being a contractor for NextWave. Outreach specialists set their own schedules, within the parameters of the projects on which they agree to work. All we ask is that contractors:

Be an organization, U.S. citizen or a resident who can legally perform the required services in the U.S.
Be an adult at least 18 years of age
Be willing to meet the technology and home office requirements below
Commit to a project for its entirety
Adhere to our performance standards
Offer some scheduling flexibility to help meet the client's needs

Your Home Office

As an independent contractor for NextWave Advocacy, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to work from a home office you create. You may already have an existing home office or a place in mind to create one. Below are the things you will need:

A comfortable, quiet place to work. Where to put your home office and how to furnish it are entirely up to you. NextWave expects its professional contractors to free themselves of distractions and background noise, such as television or barking dogs, which can interfere with call quality.
Desktop or laptop computer. Most PCs and Macs purchased within the past several years will work with NextWave's cloud-based systems. Be sure to check the Technical Specifications below to confirm that your computer meets our minimum requirements. Tablets and mobile devices will not function properly.
Software. NextWave offers contractors the use of our cloud-based systems to construct their schedules, make calls, and complete their work. To connect, you will need some basic software, which likely came installed on your computer or can be easily downloaded or updated online.
High-speed internet connection. NextWave contractors must use a wired broadband internet connection, such as a cable modem, DSL service, or fiber optic connection meeting our minimum upload and download speeds.
Headset. All contractors must have a USB headset with built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Noise Cancellation to ensure high-quality calls.
